Trumpeter Carys Wood, 18, who plays the trumpet and is from Wales, has been assisted by the trust, with funding assisting with equipment, teaching, and travel fees - and she said it was "awesome" to be taking part in the concert. "Music can be very expensive," Carys said. She is now enrolled at the prestigious music academy, and added that "all people deserve the chance" to cultivate their performance abilities. Generations Gathering Eliza, Carys's sister who is 11, who plays the euphonium, will likewise attend the Abbey. "I never imagined I would perform in front of so many important people," she said. Attending the service will be people from various age groups. That will feature young Saphia Turner, nine, honouree of a youth community award, who creates and sells art and completes fundraising tasks to raise money for local food charities.
